The RingSide Experience

Recognized as the leader in Portland steakhouses since 1944, RingSide Steakhouse has been serving our community for over 80 years with the same family ownership at the helm. Set in a one-of-a-kind brick building in the Nob Hill section of Portland, Oregon, this venerable landmark has its own civic identity.

At the steakhouse, most guests begin their dining experience with RingSide’s legendary onion rings which James Beard once claimed to be… ”the best I’ve ever had.” With an assortment of appetizers that feature locally sourced produce and seafood, there is something for everyone at RingSide. Choose a steak from a menu offering a variety of USDA Choice , Prime and Prime Dry Aged options that are aged a minimum of four weeks, or select an entrée from the finest in Pacific Northwest lamb, pork, chicken and seafood. There are several shareable sides offered as well, including Madeira Glazed Mushrooms and Lobster Mashed Potatoes; a must while at RingSide. To accompany one of these fine dining choices, pick a wine from a list of more than 900 labels. Wine Spectator, the magazine for devoted wine lovers, has recognized RingSide Steakhouse with its "Best of Award of Excellence" since 2001.

RingSide Steakhouse is also honored to be recognized by the people of Portland. Portland Business Journal readers have continually voted RingSide as their favorite restaurant in Portland, taking home top honors again in 2020. On a National level, RingSide has not only garnered accolades in the wine world but has been awarded with Tom Horan’s America’s Top Ten Hall of Fame; Great Steakhouses of North America and the much coveted DiRoNA Award of Excellence – from Distinguished Restaurants of North America.
